We are seeking a talented Senior Energy Solutions Engineer to lead a dynamic project team focused on identifying and quantifying energy and water conservation opportunities. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the development of project scope, pricing, incentives, tax considerations, and savings projections for our valued clients. Your success will hinge on your ability to meld engineering expertise with creative problem-solving skills, delivering innovative solutions that push boundaries.

Locations: New York City Metro and Philadelphia Metro

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site assessments of prospective buildings and engineer tailored solutions to help clients achieve their energy and water conservation goals, leveraging ASHRAE Level III expertise and preconstruction experience.
  • Calculate energy and water savings solutions, meticulously defining scopes and pricing for selected energy conservation measures.
  • Prepare compelling sales proposal content to articulate these solutions effectively and support the sales presentation process.
  • Lead the commissioning efforts for all installed solutions, ensuring their seamless integration and functionality.
  • Analyze pertinent data to validate predicted savings in accordance with IPMVP standards, ultimately assuming responsibility for guaranteed energy savings.
  • Commit to continuous professional development, staying abreast of industry advancements.
  • Act as a mentor to our engineering team, sharing your subject matter expertise to foster growth.
  • Exhibit proficiency in service, maintenance, repair, and replacement cost assessment over the life cycle of energy conservation measures.
  • Strategically plan for financial considerations throughout the life cycle of energy conservation measures.

Qualifications:

  • Holds at least a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in electrical, mechanical, industrial engineering, or equivalent.
  • P.E. certification is highly desired.
  • Possesses one or more preferred technology and industry certifications (CEM, CEA, CMVP, LEED/AP, etc.).

Experience:

  • Demonstrates a track record of performing savings calculations for energy upgrades, including experience with sample projects and estimation of annual energy savings.
  • Proficient in high-level Excel calculations and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Adept at utilizing Salesforce for efficient workflow management.
  • Possesses advanced knowledge of energy modeling, best practices, and codes (e.g., ASHRAE, IESNA, NEC, etc.).
  • Proven experience in successfully overseeing projects from concept through implementation.
  • Technical acumen related to energy efficiency technologies.

  • Demonstrates strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in advanced computer skills, including project management fundamentals.
  • Able to collaborate effectively across a diverse customer portfolio spread across a wide geographic area.
  • Exhibits excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Proven track record of sourcing and implementing new technologies, along with up-to-date knowledge of energy efficiency innovations.
  • Demonstrates a history of collaborating with solution providers to enhance energy and utility performance in commercial, industrial, and healthcare facilities.
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of building services, including mechanical and HVAC systems, Building Automation Systems, electrical, and lighting.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed and perform after-hours work on occasion.
