Director, Product Management

As Director of Product Management, you will spearhead the go-to-market strategy and oversee the development of a new line of platform-based software products and services. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, develop, and manage a portfolio of innovative solutions initially tailored for the Electric Utility sector, with a vision to expand into other Critical Infrastructure and Enterprise markets.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and drive the product strategy, go-to-market plan, and roadmap for a portfolio of platform products and services.
• Communicate the value proposition of new offerings internally and externally, aligning them with the overall corporate strategy.
• Build business cases and plans for new product introductions, collaborating with engineering and partners to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Define value-based pricing structures and present new products and services to customers, acting as the “Voice of Customers” internally.
• Represent the company at events and conferences, establishing thought leadership in grid and AMI use cases enabled by cutting-edge communications technology.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and commercial teams to ensure timely delivery and market adoption of new product features.
• Own and manage the entire product lifecycle, from planning and feature definition to market launch.
• Conduct market analysis and competitive research to identify areas of differentiation for our product offerings.
• Lead the development of product requirement documents (PRDs) and drive an agile product development approach.
• Partner with Engineering to determine the sourcing strategy for solution development.
• Support sales training efforts and participate in sales calls as a product expert.
• Grow the product team and recruit new talent.

Desired Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of product management experience with a track record of bringing new software products and services to market.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the electric utility space, preferably with grid operations or planning products/services.
• Experience navigating utility IT and cybersecurity requirements, and knowledge of utility operational systems and data integration.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
• Understanding of mission-critical system architecture and security requirements.
• Expertise in developing cloud-based, managed network solutions, preferably in the utility sector.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior executives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science; MBA preferred.
