The Solution Engineer will report directly to the VP of Sales and they will be collaborating and working closely with Business Development, Product Management and Engineering, Deployment and Operations, and Spectrum Management functions to help identify customer needs and formulate solutions.

In this critical role the Solution Engineer will assist the Sales Directors in maximizing the sales opportunities by identifying the customer needs to promote the customized solution to be offered, based on the technical, financial, and business metrics. They will be a technical advocate and interface between the customer and the Company. The Solution Engineer will support and implement customer prototypes and demos and work closely with Deployment to support field trials and pilots.


  • Create and deliver powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate unique value proposition.
  • Develop, manage, and enhance Total Cost of Ownership (“TCO”) Model to models the financial business case associated with assigned sales opportunities.
  • Provides technical representation to utility market and assigned opportunities through assisting at trade shows and conferences, participating in industry panels and speaking engagements, writing white papers and publishing articles (where possible in collaboration with customers).
  • Partner with Sales Directors to plan, prepare and execute strategic deals in complex sales cycles.
  • Effectively communicate customer needs to the Product Management and Engineering as the “voice-of-the-customer” for future product development and enhancements.


  • IoT, Smart Grid and network communications solutions selling
  • Experience in solution selling
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy to understand manner
  • Willingness to travel
  • BA/BS degree
