Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Director, Northeast Sales to lead and direct a high-performing sales force across multiple channels. In this highly visible role, you will cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities, energy brokers, consultants, and providers of energy efficiency, automation, and distributed energy solutions. Reporting to the Regional Vice President of Northeast Sales, your primary goal is to shape the industry market opportunity and drive growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic plans with tactical execution to expand business from existing customers and gain market share.
  • Execute short- and long-term sales plans to ensure profitability and service expansion.
  • Proactively identify and source new customers through networking and resource development.
  • Cultivate relationships with facility personnel, energy brokers, consultants, and solution providers.
  • Establish partnerships with Energy Supply Brokers, Energy Advisory firms, and Engineering Procurement and Construction companies.
  • Maintain a sales pipeline and consistently meet or exceed sales quotas.
  • Align CPower programs and tools with the value proposition.
  • Manage national and strategic partner relationships aligned with customer expansion initiatives.
  • Identify Distributed Energy Resource (DER) opportunities and incorporate them into the industry segment strategy.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify optimal program solutions.
  • Lead cross-departmental meetings to address issues and opportunities.
  • Review progress against goals with senior leadership and maintain transparency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (MBA preferred).
  • 8-15 years of sales organization management experience in a B2B environment.
  • 10 years of experience in Demand Response and Energy Industries.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience building and leading high-performing sales teams.
  • Strong strategic selling skills, particularly with C Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM systems.
  • Customer-focused with a sense of urgency.
  • Strong knowledge of programs, products, and energy market structure.
  • Demonstrated strategic leadership skills in managing cross-functional teams.
